WAYNE RICHARDS MUSIC CENTRAL

HAS THIS YEAR GONE BY FAST OR WHAT?
It's hard to believe that October is here already. This is an exciting time of the year with the post season on our minds.
It is also time to think about the Cubs World changes that will take place with the election coming up in November. We will break things down for you a bit later in this newsletter. Enjoy!

SPECIAL REPORT
by Wayne Richards
In past issues. I have introduced you to two very special people, Tony and Cathy, my dear friends and die-hard Cubs fans from Arizona. For several years, Tony has been nice enough to send Cubs World his observations regarding Spring training.
Not too long ago, while the Cubs were visiting Arizona, I placed a call just to see how things were going. I had no idea he was at a game. As we got further into the conversation, he switched into reporting mode. Such devotion deserves admiration.

Not too long ago, while the Cubs were visiting Arizona, I placed a call just to see how things were going. I had no idea he was at a game. As we got further into the conversation, he switched into reporting mode. Such devotion deserves admiration.

So, from the upper deck of Chase Field, Tony did not mince words.
"You guys look great" said I. "I'm surprised you haven't melted this Summer."
"It's hotter than hell in here!" said the Tonester. "It's better than outside, but still in the 80's! I don't think the a/c is working"
Now, Tony knows how to take care of himself. I knew he'd cool off with some kind of a drink. "How much is a beer out there?" I asked. "$15.00 a beer" said he. "Everything in this joint is too expensive!"
According to Tony, the decent amount of Cubs fans in attendance did not hang around. "There's no energy right now and that's why fans are leaving so quickly" he reported. "After leaving the game, lots of Cubs fans were very disappointed, but hopeful that we could still get into the playoffs and turn things around. I guess that's what being a Cubs fan is all about. Resilience. We've seen it all before." Tony....YOU ARE SO RIGHT!
